An armored gauntlet that incorporates a pneumatic ram system in the knuckle assembly, firing a weighted piston forward at the moment of impact to deliver a concentrated force spike that exceeds what any human arm — augmented or otherwise — can generate through muscular power alone. The PG-1's piston fires with approximately 2,000 newtons of additional force, enough to crack reinforced concrete and buckle light vehicle panels.

The gauntlet covers the hand and forearm, providing both the weapon mechanism and armor protection for the operator's striking limb. The pneumatic system uses compressed gas cartridges stored in the forearm section, each cartridge providing 30 piston fires. Cartridge exchange takes approximately three seconds and can be performed one-handed. The piston automatically resets between strikes, requiring 0.8 seconds to recharge — slower than natural punching speed but fast enough for deliberate, powerful engagement.

Arcturus developed the Pneumatic Gauntlet for demolition and rescue operations where powered tools are unavailable or impractical. The weapon's ability to punch through walls, doors, and debris has made it standard equipment for corporate emergency response teams. Its combat applications were realized when response teams encountered armed resistance during rescue operations and discovered that a gauntlet designed to break through concrete is equally effective against body armor.
