At maximum power, the ultrasonic focus can raise tissue temperature to 80°C at a depth of 3cm — sufficient to cook organs beneath the skin.

Korova Arms designed the KA-12 for covert operations where the cause of death must be untraceable by conventional forensic methods. Ultrasonic tissue damage mimics the presentation of certain rare medical conditions — internal burns without external marks, organ damage without penetrating trauma. A Ghost Note kill requires a medical examiner specifically trained to identify ultrasonic heating patterns.
