Tessera designed the SL-3 for corporate facility defense where manpower is expensive and perimeter coverage is critical. A single operator with a BCI link can manage a four-turret Lattice, designating priority targets and engagement zones while the turrets' AI handles tracking and fire control. The system can also operate autonomously using pre-programmed engagement protocols.

Each turret weighs 18 kg and can be deployed in under two minutes. The four-unit system uses encrypted mesh networking that maintains coordination even if individual turrets are destroyed or communication is jammed — the remaining units automatically redistribute their fire coverage to compensate for gaps.
