Once ionic particles have penetrated the skin barrier, they create a localized galvanic circuit within the tissue itself, generating heat and electrochemical disruption at the cellular level. The effect is experienced as a deep burning sensation beneath the skin with no visible external cause, accompanied by involuntary muscle fasciculation.

The GVDP-1's vapor cloud persists for approximately 8-12 seconds in still air before dispersing, during which time any target moving through it receives continuous ionic exposure.
