The ACRP-2 fires a tightly focused beam of low-frequency acoustic energy calibrated to resonate within enclosed anatomical spaces — specifically the thoracic cavity, cranial vault, and sinus structures. Unlike broad-spectrum sonic weapons that rely on general pressure waves, the Hollowpoint uses a target-specific frequency-mapping pre-fire scan lasting approximately 0.3 seconds to calculate the resonant frequency of the target's body cavities based on their approximate mass and build. The resulting beam then drives those cavities into constructive resonance, producing internal pressure oscillations that rupture soft tissue and, at close range, fracture bone without any external impact signature.

The weapon's beam is completely invisible and nearly silent — it produces a faint low hum audible only to the operator.
