The Veilstrike TBP-4 creates a 3-meter-wide by 2-meter-tall barrier of densely packed electromagnetic flux that stops ballistic and energy weapon fire while allowing the operator to fire through it from the protected side using phase-synced ammunition. The barrier is visually opaque from the threat side — a shimmering wall of distorted light that obscures the positions of those behind it — but transparent from the operator side, functioning as both cover and concealment.

The TBP-4 deploys in under four seconds and runs for approximately 22 minutes on its integrated power cell. Multiple units can be networked to create longer barrier walls, with TESSERA's proprietary mesh protocol ensuring seamless field overlap between adjacent projectors. TESSERA developed the Veilstrike for law enforcement and corporate security applications, but the system has found enthusiastic adoption among mercenary companies and well-funded criminal organizations. The phase-synced ammunition requirement — rounds must be encoded with the barrier's frequency signature to pass through — creates a lucrative consumables market that TESSERA exploits aggressively.
