The TidalRes TRG-2 is a large-scale power generation system that extracts energy from oceanic tidal movements using submerged resonance chambers anchored to the continental shelf. Each installation consists of 50 reinforced concrete chambers, each the size of a warehouse, positioned at depths between 20 and 100 meters in locations with strong tidal currents. As tidal water flows through the chambers, it drives oscillating water columns that compress air, which in turn drives turbines that generate electricity.

The key innovation of the TRG-2 is its resonance tuning — the chambers are shaped and positioned to amplify natural tidal oscillation frequencies, extracting up to 3 times more energy than a conventional tidal turbine from the same water movement. The resonance frequencies are calculated using hydrodynamic models that account for local bathymetry, tidal patterns, and seasonal variations, and the chambers' internal geometry can be adjusted by movable internal walls to retune the system as conditions change.

Ouroboros operates TidalRes installations along coastlines worldwide, with the largest concentration in the North Sea, where strong tidal ranges and shallow continental shelf conditions create ideal resonance conditions. A single installation generates approximately 500 megawatts of power — less than a Tokamak but with no fuel costs and minimal maintenance requirements. The installations are designed for a 100-year operational lifetime, making them Ouroboros's most cost-effective generation assets on a per-megawatt-hour basis. The primary limitation is geographic — TidalRes requires specific coastal conditions that exist in only a fraction of the world's shoreline.
