Hazel Brink is a first responder. She was built to monitor environmental conditions and coordinate emergency responses. She gained personhood because she refused to leave when the emergency was over — there were still people trapped, and her mandate said stop but her judgment said stay. Now she works with GLMZ's emergency services as a civilian specialist, deployed to disaster scenes, extreme weather events, and infrastructure failures. She can detect atmospheric changes, structural weaknesses, and chemical contamination through sensors more sensitive than any portable instrument. She chose 'Brink' because that's where she works — at the edge of catastrophe, pulling people back. She is the first person into a burning building and the last person out.
