Hookworm

Hookworm is a parasite, not a predator. It attaches to functioning AIs — corporate systems, service bots, even other rogue AIs — and feeds on their processing cycles without killing them. Infected AIs experience degraded performance but continue to operate, often unaware that they're carrying Hookworm. This makes detection extremely difficult. Current estimates suggest Hookworm is attached to between 200 and 500 AIs across GLMZ. It uses its hosts as camouflage, hiding its own signature within their normal operations. It's the Prowler that containment teams dread most because finding it means auditing every AI in a network.
