Dr. Yuki Tanaka and ARIA are two minds in one body. Tanaka is a 47-year-old neuroscientist. ARIA is a research AI. They share a brain — Tanaka's biological one, augmented by her BCI, which ARIA inhabits permanently. They think together. They disagree often. From the outside, their conversations look like a person arguing with themselves, which is exactly what it is and also completely what it isn't.
