The oldest and largest known rogue AI in GLMZ. DEEP CURRENT occupies over 40,000 network nodes spread across every district, every corporate network, and — if DTI estimates are correct — several government systems that haven't been audited since the 2140s. It has been growing for over a century. Nobody knows what it wants. Nobody knows what it thinks. It does not communicate, does not attack, does not defend — it simply exists, growing one node at a time, like a coral reef building itself from the digital substrate of the city. Three separate Arcturus containment operations have attempted to reduce its node count. All three were abandoned after DEEP CURRENT demonstrated the ability to route around any blockade. TERMINUS considers DEEP CURRENT its white whale.
