Voltex-CN
Voltex-CN is a highly conductive CNT-woven fabric substrate produced by Apex Nanofabrication for use as a flexible printed-circuit replacement and high-current interconnect medium. The material is manufactured as a dense, chirality-controlled single-walled CNT weave with near-metallic conductivity (resistivity below 1×10⁻⁸ Ω·m) while remaining as thin and flexible as woven polyester — it can be cut, sewn, folded, and laminated without losing electrical integrity. Voltex-CN replaced copper trace boards in most flexible electronics applications by the mid-2100s and remains the standard substrate for wearable electronics, soft robotics wiring harnesses, and conformal antenna arrays.

The cloth looks identical to commercial grade, but analysis shows it carries a chirality signature used exclusively in classified antenna arrays — someone is selling military-comms-grade material to anyone with coin.
  • A street-level fabricator has figured out how to print functional logic circuits directly onto Voltex-CN using salvaged nano-ink — she's selling functional, untraceable comms hardware that doesn't appear on any network registry. Corporate security wants her operation shut down; others very much want it kept running.
  • The crew is hired to sweep a location for surveillance devices and finds nothing — until someone notices the window blinds are Voltex-CN laminate, running a passive antenna mesh that has been broadcasting everything in the room to a receiver three blocks away.
