Cryonite-SC
Cryonite-SC is a scandium-aluminum-lithium alloy with a quantum-engineered lattice that undergoes a controlled martensitic phase transformation at a precisely programmable trigger temperature — snapping from a flexible, low-strength configuration to a rigid, ultra-high-strength configuration with no intermediate states and no hysteresis. The transition temperature can be set during fabrication anywhere from -40°C to 600°C, and the transformation is fully reversible over millions of cycles without fatigue. This gives Cryonite-SC the unique property of being a programmable structural material that changes its mechanical identity on command.
