Armorite-GL
A multi-layer graphene-polymer armor laminate developed by Crucible Industries through a co-development agreement with Tessera Materials, combining alternating graphene fabric plies with a shear-thickening polymer matrix. On ballistic impact, the polymer matrix instantaneously stiffens while graphene plies distribute and absorb kinetic energy across a wide area, preventing penetration while managing blunt trauma. Armorite-GL is produced in flexible sheet stock that can be cut and formed into garment liners, vehicle panels, or rigid plate inserts.
