Introduces a tendon-latch system in the forearms modeled on the mantis shrimp's legendary striking mechanism. Elastic energy is stored in modified tendons over 1–2 seconds of winding, then released in a strike that accelerates the fist to velocities that would shatter unmodified human bones — the user's hands and forearms are reinforced with osteodermal plating to survive the impact. The strike generates approximately 5–10 times the force of a normal human punch. At maximum output, the strike can crack concrete and dent light structural steel. The user's arm visibly tenses during the wind-up phase, making the strike telegraphed to an observant opponent, but the release is too fast for human reaction time to evade. Crucible Genomics developed it for demolition work; the street found other uses. The modification produces a distinctive popping sound on impact — a miniature sonic concussion from the speed of the strike.
