A more advanced version of photosynthetic skin that uses engineered cyanobacteria to convert sunlight into bioelectric current rather than caloric energy. The bacterial colony lives on the skin surface in a thin, nearly invisible biofilm and converts solar radiation into electrical current that the user's thermoelectric conversion cells (if present) can distribute, or that can be harvested directly through conductive skin patches. In direct sunlight, the colony generates 5–8 watts — enough to charge personal electronics continuously. Combined with the Power Skin thermoelectric modification, the user becomes a solar-charged biological battery. The colony gives the skin a faint blue-green tint in dense colonization areas and produces a subtle mineral scent. Zheng-Dao Bioelectric developed it as a companion product to their Power Skin modification.
