The Meridian Compact for Economic Justice is a coalition organization of approximately 20,000 members that brings together labor unions, mutual aid networks, small business associations, and community organizations around a shared economic reform platform. The Compact doesn't conduct direct action — it builds consensus, coordinates strategy, and presents a unified front when negotiating with corporate and municipal power.

The Compact's platform is moderate by resistance standards but radical by corporate ones: a living wage indexed to the real cost of living at each tier, universal access to basic augmentation (not tied to employment), rent control in the Shelf and Circuit, breakup of corporate monopolies in essential services, and democratic representation in GLMZ's governance. None of these demands are new. What's new is that the Compact has built a coalition large enough to make them politically relevant.

The Compact is boring. It holds meetings. It circulates position papers. It conducts surveys. It maintains a database of economic conditions across tiers. It is the kind of organization that people who want revolution dismiss as useless and people who hold power watch with quiet concern, because boring organizations that build coalitions are historically more dangerous than exciting ones that build barricades.
