Released in 2219 on the independent Circuit label Ironwood Press — one of the few remaining non-Vantablack distribution networks operating in Tier 2 — Common Ground is the third installment in an ongoing series documenting working-class music made in GLMZ's Circuit districts. Where the first two volumes leaned toward documentation, Vol. 3 was recorded live over three consecutive weekends at the Aldgate Social Hall, a worker-owned venue in the Circuit's eastern industrial corridor, and carries the warmth and noise of a room full of people who came to hear something true.

Standout tracks include 'Shift Change,' performed by Maren Solís-Ekwueme with a backing ensemble of eleven musicians, a slow-building piece rooted in Andean huayno rhythm structures crossed with West African griot vocal tradition, its lyrics a portrait of a single 14-hour shift at a fabrication plant so precise in detail that three workers independently told journalists it was about them. 'Lena's Bridge' is an instrumental credited to the ensemble as a whole, named for Lena Vasquez-Osei who died in an industrial accident six months before the sessions — it was performed in the hall she had played dozens of times, for people who knew her, and the recording does not hide that. 'Iron Tenderness,' contributed by an uncredited duo performing under the name Kindling Wren, is the album's most accessible track and the one that crossed into Tier 3 streaming playlists, bringing the compilation an audience it was not specifically made for.
