Formed in 2211 in the deepest sub-levels of Tier 1's Ashford Sink district, Korveld & The Static Saints are fronted by Davi Korveld-Okafor, a half-blind ex-dockworker whose vocal delivery has been compared to something between a sermon and a riot. The band's sound is built on overdriven industrial percussion, fractured West African kora samples looped until they bleed, and Korveld-Okafor's raw baritone cutting through walls of feedback. Their debut illegal broadcast, transmitted on a pirate neural feed from a condemned cooling tower, crashed three corporate mesh nodes and was replayed an estimated 11 million times before Vantablack Media's suppression algorithms caught up.

The current lineup includes Priya Søndergaard on bass (a self-taught Circuit dropout who tuned her instrument by ear in a Tier 2 machine shop), Emeka Lau-Ferreira on percussion (classically trained in Mongolian throat-singing before dropping out of a Spire conservatory on principle), and Nadia Hess-Oyelaran on modded guitar rigs that can produce subsonic frequencies capable of cracking cheap Shelf construction materials. Their 2219 live set at the Crucible — an illegal underground venue that moved locations weekly — was recorded on contraband data chips and is still circulating as a sacred artifact among Shelf organizers.
