Corona discharge — St. Elmo's fire — is a well-understood phenomenon. Ionized air near electrically charged objects produces a visible glow, typically blue or violet. It occurs during thunderstorms, near high-voltage equipment, and on pointed structures that concentrate electrical fields. It requires a strong electric field. It requires an atmosphere capable of ionization. It requires, fundamentally, electricity.
The discharge events documented in this report occur in sealed, grounded, electrically dead interior spaces with no active power systems, no atmospheric charge, and no identifiable energy source. The first documented occurrence was in Engine Room 7 of the decommissioned Lakewall pumping station on February 14th, 2213. The room has been without power since 2196. All wiring was removed during decommissioning. The room is sealed, grounded through the building's structural steel, and monitored by battery-powered environmental sensors. At 03:17, sensors recorded a blue-white glow covering approximately 60% of the room's wall surfaces. Duration: 4 minutes 22 seconds. Temperature of the glow: -2 degrees Celsius. The walls were cold. The glow was cold. It burned nothing. It left no residue.
Since February, we have documented 31 identical events across 14 locations — all sealed, all grounded, all electrically dead. Engine rooms, pump houses, transformer vaults, generator bays. All infrastructure that once carried or generated significant electrical power and now carries none. The discharge burns cold and blue on surfaces that have no reason to discharge. Our electromagnetic monitoring detects nothing before, during, or after the events. There is no charge. There is no field. There is no mechanism.
The events are increasing in frequency. February: 2 events. March: 4. April: 7. July: 11. The glow is also intensifying — early events were faint, barely visible to sensors. Recent events are bright enough to be seen through sealed doorways by maintenance personnel in adjacent corridors. Engine Room 7, where it started, now glows almost continuously. I have standing orders to keep that door closed.
