KOFI TANAKA-OSEI FOR SHELF COMMUNITY BOARD REPRESENTATIVE — DISTRICT 4

You know me. I've lived in this district for nineteen years. I run the food collective on Level 3. I'm the person who argued with Vossen for six months until they fixed the water pressure in Block 22. I'm the person who sits in municipal hearings that last four hours so you don't have to, and who comes back and tells you what they said in words that mean something.

I am not running because I think the system works. I am running because the system doesn't work, and the only people who can change it are the people it's failing.

Here is what I will do if elected:

1. WATER: I will file formal complaints with the Meridian Municipal Authority every single week until Gulch and Shelf water quality meets the same standard as Tier 3. Every week. They will get tired of seeing my name. That is the point.

2. TRANSIT: The Ferrogate route cuts are an attack on our ability to work. I will organize a coordinated response with the Gulch Community Coordinator to demand route restoration or public transit alternatives.

3. SAFETY: The fire in Block 22-C killed seven people because a safety system was disabled and nobody checked. I will push for community-operated safety inspections independent of the building management companies that are supposed to maintain the systems they are clearly not maintaining.

4. AUGMENTATION: Every Shelf resident who wants augmentation maintenance should be able to get it without risking their health at an unlicensed clinic. I will advocate for a community-funded maintenance cooperative staffed by trained technicians.

I can't promise results. Nobody who promises results in the Shelf is being honest with you. What I can promise is that I will show up, I will fight, and I will not stop until something changes or I physically cannot continue. That's not a campaign slogan. That's just how I'm built.
