Thirty-one former Block 9 residents have been found at the demolition site. Not visiting. Not protesting. Found standing on the exact coordinates of their former residences, oriented in the direction their front doors once faced. Some walked there during the day. Eleven were found during overnight hours, having left their current residences while asleep. GPS tracking data from municipal ankle monitors — four of the thirty-one are on parole — shows movement patterns that are geometrically precise. They do not wander to the site. They walk in straight lines from wherever they are, ignoring streets, cutting through buildings where doors happen to be open, climbing fences. The path is always the shortest possible distance to their specific former address.

The sleepwalkers are the most concerning. Kajsa Nwosu-Andersen, age 67, was found standing barefoot on the Lakewall at 3 AM in December, directly above the coordinates of her former kitchen.
