Your criminal record with Slagworks Industrial may be catastrophic — multiple warrants, flagged biometrics, shoot-on-sight classification — while your profile with the neighboring Pinnacle Holdings is pristine. The databases do not synchronize. They are not required to. Each corponation considers its criminal intelligence a proprietary asset, and sharing it with a rival would be a competitive disadvantage.

For low-threat individuals, pursuit simply stops at the boundary. Security teams radio in a code, log the escape vector, and return to their patrol. The paperwork required to initiate a cross-jurisdictional extradition request takes between six and eighteen months, and approval rates hover around 12%. Most corponations consider the administrative burden greater than the value of apprehending a petty offender.
