We are a volunteer network of thirty-seven observers operating in the GLMZ northern zone — the region between GLMZ and the Canadian border, encompassing the Wisconsin highlands and the Upper Peninsula. We have been documenting a phenomenon that the municipal authorities will not acknowledge: before every seismic event of magnitude 3.0 or greater in the northern zone, blue-white columns of light rise from the ground.

The columns are vertical, narrow — approximately 2 meters in diameter — and extend to heights we have measured at up to 300 meters before they become too diffuse to track. They emit no heat. They make no sound. They do not interact with atmospheric moisture or wind. They appear to originate from specific points in the earth's surface, always at locations that subsequent investigation reveals to be near geological fault lines, though not always directly on them.

The lead time varies: the lights precede the seismic event by as little as four hours and as much as forty-eight. This makes them predictive. We have documented this correlation across nineteen seismic events over three years. Nineteen out of nineteen. There has not been a seismic event of magnitude 3.0 or greater in the northern zone that was not preceded by the lights. There has not been an appearance of the lights that was not followed by a seismic event.

We have submitted our data to the GLMZ Geological Survey three times. Each submission has been acknowledged and filed without action. We have been told that luminous phenomena associated with seismic activity are "theoretically plausible but insufficiently documented." We have three years of documentation. We have photographic evidence, spectrographic analysis, and a 100% correlation rate. We are told it is insufficient. We believe the insufficiency is not in our documentation but in the willingness of institutions to accept that the earth announces its intentions in light, hours before it moves, and that no one wants to explain how.
