MERIDIAN 88 — An Arcturus Defense research facility in the northern industrial corridor has confirmed the escape of twelve cybernetically enhanced wolves following a containment breach on March 29. The animals, designated as Project FENRIR assets, are equipped with subdermal titanium-alloy armor plating, enhanced sensory arrays including thermal and electromagnetic detection, and neural-linked communication implants that allow pack coordination at distances of up to 2 kilometers.

Arcturus Defense issued a terse public statement acknowledging the escape and advising residents of the northern industrial corridor and adjacent Shelf districts to "exercise caution and report unusual canine activity." The statement notably omitted several details confirmed by sources within the facility: that the wolves are equipped with retractable monofilament claws capable of cutting through commercial-grade steel, that their jaw servos have been enhanced to produce a bite force of approximately 8,000 Newtons (roughly ten times that of a natural wolf), and that the neural-link implants include behavioral conditioning designed to make the animals aggressive toward human targets exhibiting fear responses.
