CEASE AND DESIST NOTICE

TO: Meridian Recycling Collective, d/b/a 'Shelf Recycling Collective'
Operating Address: Shelf Block 44, Level 2, Unit 12-18

RE: Unauthorized Distribution of Tessera Proprietary Technology

Tessera Corponation ('Tessera') has determined that the Meridian Recycling Collective ('Collective') is engaged in the unauthorized distribution of Tessera proprietary neural interface components, in violation of Tessera End User License Agreement Section 14.3 ('Post-Lifecycle Disposition') and Meridian Municipal Code Section 892.4 ('Technology Resale Restrictions').

Specifically, Tessera has evidence that the Collective is:
1. Sorting, testing, and reselling discarded Tessera Generation 3 neural interface components.
2. Providing technical specifications to unlicensed augment installers for the purpose of component reuse.
3. Operating a 'parts library' that catalogues salvaged Tessera components by model number, condition, and compatibility.

Tessera's End User License Agreement, agreed to by all purchasers of Tessera neural interface products, specifies that upon component removal, all hardware remains the intellectual property of Tessera Corponation and must be returned to a certified Tessera disposal facility. The Collective's activities constitute unauthorized possession and distribution of Tessera property.

DEMAND: The Collective shall immediately cease all activities involving Tessera components, surrender all Tessera hardware currently in its possession, and provide a complete accounting of all Tessera components distributed to date.

FAILURE TO COMPLY within 30 days will result in legal proceedings seeking injunctive relief and damages.

[Note appended by Shelf Community Board legal advisor: This cease-and-desist relies on an EULA provision that has never been tested in court and may not be enforceable against third parties who did not agree to the original license. The Collective should continue operations pending actual legal action, which Tessera is unlikely to pursue given the public relations implications.]
