This report compiles data from 47 reported disappearances in and around the B40 Corridor of the Underworld between 2195 and 2199. The B40 Corridor is an east-west maintenance tunnel running approximately 3 kilometers beneath the Shelf District, connecting the Sector 4 water treatment plant to the decommissioned Sector 9 power substation. It is used regularly by scavengers, unlicensed couriers, and residents avoiding surface-level surveillance.

Of the 47 disappearances, 31 follow an identical pattern: the individual entered the B40 Corridor alone, was tracked by at least one witness or surveillance device to a specific section between junction markers B40-17 and B40-23, and then ceased to exist in any detectable form. No bodies have been recovered. No personal effects have been found. Mesh signals from BCIs, which should be trackable even through significant interference, simply stop. Not fade — stop. As if the device was instantaneously destroyed or moved beyond the range of any known signal propagation.

The remaining 16 disappearances occurred near but not within the corridor, and may be attributable to conventional causes — violence, voluntary disappearance, or navigation error in the Underworld's labyrinthine passages. These have been excluded from our primary analysis.

Community Watch volunteers have conducted 12 search expeditions into the B40-17 to B40-23 zone. Nine found nothing unusual — empty tunnel, standard deep-level conditions, no evidence of violence or structural failure. Three expeditions reported anomalies: unexplained temperature drops of 15-20°C localized to a 10-meter section, a pervasive smell described as "ozone and copper and something organic," and on one occasion, a sound that the search team leader described as "dozens of people whispering just below the threshold of comprehension."

We are publishing this report because official channels have failed to investigate. Meridian Municipal Services categorizes the disappearances as "voluntary relocation" because the individuals were primarily unhoused or undocumented. The corponations have no jurisdiction below B30. And the people keep vanishing. Between junction B40-17 and B40-23, something is happening. We don't know what. We know that 31 people walked into a tunnel and didn't walk out.
