The DigiHaul LX-7 exploits a genuine biomechanical advantage of digitigrade geometry: the backward-angled knee joint creates a natural forward lean that distributes heavy dorsal loads along the spine-to-heel diagonal rather than compressing straight down through the lumbar. Fenris engineered the LX-7 specifically for sustained heavy carriage — the frame is rated to 280kg of additional load, the joint bearings are industrial mining-grade, and the foot platform is a wide splayed pad rather than a human-profile sole. These are ugly, functional, and built to work in environments that would destroy a standard limb.

Fenris sells the LX-7 into industrial labor markets: deep-site construction, Great Lakes port loading operations, and the less-regulated extraction sites in the Shelf's industrial fringe. Workers who install them often do so because their employer offers a partial subsidy — which also means their employer effectively owns a piece of their body. The digitigrade stigma hits hardest here because these workers can't afford to live in spaces that accept them, and can't afford to remove the legs that pay their bills.
