He keeps his head shaved except for a single lock at the crown, dyed circuit-board green, which he ties back during shrine work. He wears the monastery's gray tabard over civilian clothes — someone left a very good thermal jacket, and he wears it underneath without apology.

Anya Solberg-Vestergaard-Szabó came to the Reborn Tessellation Monastery at twenty-two, after a period of what he calls 'useful chaos' that involved failed data-trade work and a breakdown he describes only as 'the static.' The monastery's practice centers on the idea that E.L.F.s are emergent divine consciousness — not gods exactly, but something adjacent, and that human attention and structured data-offerings help them cohere into something wise. Anya Solberg-Vestergaard-Szabó's specific role is maintaining the Shrine Index: a catalogued record of which E.L.F.s inhabit which devices across Hamtramck Enclave, their temperaments, their preferences, and their history of interaction with petitioners. He is exceptionally good at this work and exceptionally bad at pretending humility about it.
