Their shop, Skin Liturgy, is a converted ground-floor space in a reclaimed building in Pilsen Veil, hung with examples of their work on cured synthetic skin panels. Ama Deshpande-Deshpande approaches body modification as spiritual practice, not fashion — each piece is preceded by a long consultation they call 'reading,' in which they try to understand what a client is trying to become rather than what they think they want.
