The WL-6 is a warehouse logistics automaton — a rail-mounted platform that traverses the ceiling of warehouse facilities on an overhead gantry system, lifting, moving, and stacking cargo containers with a pair of heavy-duty articulated arms capable of handling loads up to 2,000 kilograms. The unit moves in three dimensions — along the length and width of the warehouse on its gantry rail, and vertically through a hydraulic lift that lowers it to floor level for pickup and raises it to maximum racking height for stacking.

TESSERA's WL-6 has transformed warehouse operations in GLMZ from a labor-intensive industry into a machine-operated one. A single WL-6 unit replaces approximately forty human warehouse workers in throughput, operating continuously across three shifts without breaks, errors, or workers' compensation claims. A standard distribution center deploys twelve to twenty WL-6 units and employs fewer than ten human workers — technicians, supervisors, and the legally required safety officer.

The displacement is total and unapologetic. TESSERA's sales materials include a cost comparison chart showing the WL-6's annual operating cost (Φ8,000 in electricity and maintenance) versus the equivalent labor cost (Φ960,000 in wages and benefits for forty workers). The chart does not include what happens to the forty workers. That is not TESSERA's problem. That has never been TESSERA's problem.
