The AG-7 is an agricultural automaton — a wide, low-slung tracked platform with a modular tool array that configures for planting, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting depending on the crop cycle. Ringo designed it for the vertical farms and hydroponic facilities that produce the majority of GLMZ's food supply, where space constraints and environmental control requirements make human labor impractical. The AG-7 navigates between growing racks, tending plants with mechanical arms that can handle individual seedlings with tweeze-like precision or harvest entire rows with combine-like efficiency.

The AG-7 is one of the few automata that people genuinely depend on. GLMZ's food supply is almost entirely produced in automated indoor facilities — the megacity's footprint leaves no space for traditional agriculture, and the surrounding environment has been industrialized beyond agricultural viability. Without AG-7 units and their equivalents, the city does not eat. This dependency gives Ringo extraordinary leverage: their maintenance contracts are non-negotiable, their pricing is whatever they say it is, and facilities that fail to maintain their AG-7 fleet face crop failure within weeks.

The AG-7 is efficient beyond human capability. It monitors individual plant health through hyperspectral imaging, adjusts nutrient delivery per plant, detects disease before visible symptoms appear, and optimizes harvest timing to within hours of peak nutritional content. Food produced by AG-7-managed facilities is objectively better than anything a human farmer could grow. It is also produced in a system so dependent on a single manufacturer that a disruption to Ringo's supply chain would threaten food security for eight million people.
