The VG-7 is a vault and high-security area guardian — a heavy quadruped platform standing 1.5 meters at the shoulder with a low center of gravity and a chassis designed to be immovable. It sits in front of secured spaces — bank vaults, data centers, armories, evidence rooms — and does not move unless commanded by an authorized operator. Its entire design philosophy is denial: it blocks access, absorbs punishment, and waits for backup. It has no offensive capability beyond a pair of high-voltage contact surfaces on its flanks that deliver incapacitating shocks to anyone who touches it without authorization.

The VG-7's mass is its primary asset. At 450 kilograms, with magnetic foot anchors that bond to ferrous flooring, the unit is effectively a mobile bollard. Moving it without authorization requires either defeating its anchor system (which requires specialized equipment and approximately fifteen minutes), cutting through its chassis (which is composed of the same composite armor used in Crucible's military platforms), or removing the floor section it's anchored to. Most vault thieves, upon encountering a VG-7, simply leave.

Crucible sells the VG-7 to financial institutions, data centers, and government facilities that require physical access denial beyond what locks and doors provide. The unit represents the last layer of security — the thing standing between a determined intruder and the asset, after everything else has failed. It does not chase. It does not pursue. It sits in front of the door and refuses to move. There is something philosophically pure about it.
