The TC-3 is a tracked platform carrying a forward-mounted industrial plasma torch with a 30-meter range and a 15-degree cone of effect. It was originally designed for demolition — clearing condemned structures by literally melting them — and for hazardous waste disposal through high-temperature incineration. TESSERA's security division recognized that a machine designed to reduce buildings to slag could serve other purposes.

The combat variant of the TC-3 is identical to the demolition variant. There is no modification required. A machine that incinerates buildings incinerates everything in them. TESSERA simply changes the targeting coordinates from 'condemned structure' to 'occupied structure' and the TC-3 does not know the difference. It cannot know the difference. It is a machine that creates fire and points it where it's told.

The TC-3 is deployed for 'urban renewal operations' — TESSERA's term for clearing areas designated for demolition that may or may not be fully evacuated. The unit's plasma torch creates temperatures sufficient to melt structural steel, meaning nothing within its engagement zone survives in a recognizable form. Evidence, bodies, records, personal belongings — everything becomes slag. TESSERA's legal team has noted in internal documents that this evidentiary destruction is 'an incidental benefit of the demolition methodology.'
