A head-to-toe study in functional desperation made personal. The base is a faded rust-orange thermal long-sleeve, its cuffs frayed and re-stitched with mismatched gray thread, worn under a heavily patched canvas work shirt in washed-out olive — two buttons missing, replaced with wire loops. Over that sits a cropped military surplus jacket, originally some corporate gray, now a patchwork of acid-burn scars sealed with strips of self-repair tape in silver and black, the left shoulder reinforced with a salvaged piece of synthrubber insulation cut from a pipe wrap. The collar is lined inside with faux-fur torn from something older and stitched in with obvious care. Cargo pants in dark charcoal, one knee panel replaced with a different fabric entirely — stiff black ripstop — carry four functional pockets plus a zip pouch sewn onto the left thigh. The boots are resoled construction-style ankle boots, the original leather cracked and re-treated with waterproof sealant that's yellowed with age, the toe caps reinforced with salvaged steel plate held by contact adhesive and pop rivets. A wrapped scarf in dirty ivory serves as hood-liner and face mask in one. A salvaged neural port cover — non-functional, stripped from junked chrome — hangs as a pendant, the only ornament.
