The lining is a quilt of mismatched thermal emergency blankets, crinkled and reflective on the inside, visible through the wide lapels. The coat closes with a mismatched run of fasteners — two toggles, three large snaps, and a length of paracord threaded through grommets at the center. Beneath it, a long-sleeve thermal undershirt in off-white sits tucked into straight-cut trousers in deep charcoal that have been hemmed unevenly — one leg slightly shorter than the other after a repair. The trouser knees are patched with iron-on synthetic leather. Feet are in rubber overshoes — bright orange, institutional, clearly salvaged from a flood-response kit — worn over a thin pair of insulated socks. On the head, a deep-crown beanie in black wool-synth, hand-darned at the brim with mismatched thread in three colors. Hands are bare except for a single fingerless compression glove on the left hand. One ear carries a salvaged audio driver — a small speaker housing repurposed as an earring, trailing a thin wire that disappears into the coat's collar.
