Not a product — a practice. The Slagside Patched Work Shirt is a Shelf tradition: a long-sleeve button-front work shirt, usually a dead brand or salvaged industrial uniform top, repaired and personalized until the original garment is more patch than shirt. Common base garments include old Solberg-Maru uniform shirts, defunct corponation maintenance coverall tops, and whatever durable synth-fabric shirts cycle through the Shelf's secondhand stalls. Patches are anything that holds — fabric scraps, adhesive repair tape in contrasting colors, heat-fused synthetic leather squares, embroidered panels traded between neighbors.

No two are alike. They're worn as a point of identity: in a district where you can't afford to look like anything, you make yourself look like something. Some Shelf residents spend months on a single shirt, treating it as an ongoing project. Others are purely functional — rip, patch, wear. The name 'Slagside' comes from one of the Shelf's most densely populated industrial zones, but the practice is city-wide.
