A waxed canvas motorcycle jacket from Lungta, a street brand operating out of a converted rail workshop in the old Pilsen neighborhood. The silhouette is asymmetric zip closure with a wide lapel that can be worn open or snapped flat. Reinforced shoulders and elbows with sewn-in impact foam panels — not rated for high-speed crash protection, but enough to matter in a fall. Two slash pockets at the hip, a single chest pocket, and a hidden interior pocket along the right panel. Available in a deep tobacco brown or a nearly-black olive.

Lungta makes about 200 jackets a year. They don't advertise. You find out about them through someone who wears one, or you don't find out. The wax treatment is done by hand in-house and needs refreshing every season — a ritual that owners take seriously. The jacket develops a personal patina over years of wear that makes each one look different from every other one. Tier 3 riders and Tier 2 couriers both wear them; the price point is a stretch for the latter but considered worth it.
