A heavyweight flannel shirt in a traditional two-color plaid — navy and grey, or rust and charcoal — with a full button front and a chest pocket on each side. The fabric is a brushed synthetic-wool that has nearly the same hand as real flannel but doesn't compress or mat with repeated washing. Reinforced at the collar, cuffs, and pocket corners. Cut generously through the chest and shoulders to allow layering over a thermal base. Long tails can be tucked or worn out.
