Vantablack doesn't issue tactical uniforms in the traditional sense. The Ops Liaison Jacket is designed to look like civilian outerwear — a trim, mid-length coat in flat matte black that reads as expensive street fashion until it doesn't. The exterior fabric is woven with Vantablack's signature light-absorption compound, not to the extreme of true VantaMat applications, but enough to make the wearer visually recede in low-light environments, reducing silhouette definition and making optical tracking systems struggle for clean acquisition. The jacket carries no visible corporate branding; the only identifying marker is a microscopic spectral tag in the left cuff, readable only by Vantablack-issued scanners.

Internally, the jacket is a different garment entirely. A network of sensor-filament threads maps the wearer's immediate environment and feeds data through a BCI port concealed within the collar seam. Pockets are shielded against RF scanning, and the lining includes a signal-dampening mesh that limits the wearer's electronic signature in monitored spaces. The jacket is cut to read as civilian across Tier 3 through 5 environments — it is not designed for the Shelf, where anyone wearing something that expensive without obvious corp affiliation becomes a target. Vantablack personnel who operate in lower tiers are typically issued cover garments to wear over the jacket. Possession without authorization is deeply inadvisable.
